Catechism Day was celebrated on 26 February 2023 at Urwa Parish. It started with the Eucharistic Celebration at 9:30am. The program was organised in the Urwa Church Centenary Hall. The program commenced with a prayer song, sung by the high school students. The program was compered by the students, the welcome address was given by Pramila Tauro, Coordinator of Catechism Education. Various Cultural programs were presented by the students of 1st to 10th Std.

Prizes were distributed for the toppers of the Annual Catechism exams and also to the students with 100 percent attendance. The toppers of Mangalore Diocese Level Catechism exams were felicitated. The dignitaries on the dais were Parish Priest Fr Benjamin Pinto, Asst. Parish Priest Fr Johnson Pereira, Superior Sister Violet Tauro, VP of Parish Pastoral Council Mr. Lloyd Lobo, General Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council Mrs. Silvia Mascarenhas. The day ended with lunch and ice cream for all.
