Nov. 26, 2017: Saint Cecilia is the patroness of Musicians and her feast day is celebrated ( by all the choir members) on November 22nd every year. On this occasion, all the three choirs of our Parish viz Konkani, English and children’s got together on the 25th of this month to celebrate the great day. The programme commenced at 6.30 p.m. with the prayer service led by the members of Konkani Choir. Parish Priest Rev. Fr Stany Pereira, Asst Parish Priest Fr Johnson Sequeira, Mr Francis Saldana, Vice President of our Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) and Mrs Lucy D’Souza, Secretary (PPC) graced the occasion. The Emcees for the day were Mrs Lorraine Pais and Miss Michelle Pinto. Mr Santhosh Lobo, president of the English choir welcomed the gathering.The English choir members sang a beautiful welcome song. Parish Priest Fr Stany Pereira addressed the gathering. Fr encouraged us and motivated us to keep up the good work. We had a short programme organised by all the three choir members starting from our young talents of Children’s choir. They entertained us with a beautiful song, followed by our Konkani choir members who sang a wonderful medley and entertained the gathering with their melodious voice.And the final programme for the day was by the members of the English choir who showcased their wonderful talent by dancing on a few popular Retro numbers.
Thereafter games were conducted by Mrs Lorraine Pais and Miss Michelle Pinto. Housie - Housie was conducted by Mr Ivan Monteiro and Mr Santhosh Lobo.
And we came to an end with our informal programme for the day. Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mrs Nelly Misquith, president of the Konkani choir. Fr Johnson Sequeira said the grace before meals. During sumptuous dinner there was a Karaoke session by our young talents of Children’s choir. The programme concluded by 9:30 pm.
