The members of Holy family ward celebrated their ward day on the 7th of this month. Fr. Stany Pereira, our Parish Priest, Fr Johnson Sequeira and Fr Nelson Pais, our Assistant Parish priests and respective ward Gurkars of Urwa Parish graced the occasion. Mrs Winny D’Souza was the emcee for the day. The program began with a prayer led by Pramila Louis, Naveen Misquith and Pramila Tauro. Mrs Clara D’Souza, ward Gurkar welcomed the gathering. Mrs .Shanthi D’Souza read a report regarding the spectrum of activities conducted during the year by the ward members. There was a short cultural program by the Ward members. A melodious group song was sung by Mrs Clara D’Souza, Mrs Pramila, Miss Michelle Pinto and Mr Raneesh.
Thereafter a short Skit was enacted by Adsha D’Souza, Viola Louis, Pramila Louis and Raneesh. Adsha D’Souza and Viola Louis gave a wonderful dance performance and also sang a beautiful song. A wonderful solo song was sung by Naomi. Mrs Emilda Misquith and Mrs Gracy Rodrigues gave their solo performances by singing a melodious konkani song and entertained the Gathering.
Games were conducted by Miss Michelle Pinto and Mrs Elizabeth. Parish priest congratulated the members for the meaningful celebration of the feast and wished to them to march ahead with the same zeal and enthusiasm.
Vote of thanks was delivered by Emilda Misquith. The sumptuous food was prepared by the ward members.
