05 March, 2019: Urwa parish elders day was celebrated enthusiastically on 3rd March 2019. This celebration began with the confessions at 10.00am for the elders followed by the Holy Eucharist at 10.30 celebrated by Rev Fr Stany, the parish priest. After the Mass all gathered in the hall for a short program. The program began with the short prayer. There after Rev Fr Stany welcomed the gathering and this was followed by a dance from the parish children and some lucky games. One of the elders sang a few old melodies which was accompanied by a few eldres with a spontaneous dance bringing alive the nostalgic memories of yesteryears of their lives. The whole program was compered by Mrs Lucy DSouza secretary of parish council. Around 150 elders participated in this program. The whole celebration came the conclusion with lunch.
