July 29, 2019: ICYM Urwa Unit celebrated Vanamahotsava on Saturday, 27 July 2019 with the children of St. Aloysius Kannada Medium School, Urwa. The programme commenced with a prayer song led by the students of St. Aloysius Kannada Medium School. The head teacher, Mrs. Florine Pereira welcomed all. Rev. Fr. Stany Periera - Parish Priest, Urwa Church presided over the programme and addressed the students on the importance of tree and plants with an interactive session. Ms. Reeshal was the MC of the program. The children sang a song on the importance of protecting the nature. One of the teachers thanked all for organising this program. Staffs of the school along with ICYM Members of Urwa Unit were present for the programme. After the formal programme parish clergy, ICYM members, school staff, class representatives planted a plant. Thereafter ICYM membres conducted various innovative games to the students in class wise and prizes were distributed to the winners.
