Dec. 09, 2019: The celebration of the feast of Pompei Shrine was celebrated at Urwa parish in a grand and devoted way, on 8th December.
The celebration began with the Holy Eucharist presided over by Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha and concelebrated by the parish clergy and guests priests. The feastal theme was "Our Lady of Pompeii teaches us to stay in the friendship of Jesus''. Rev. Fr Praveen Leo Lasrado, professor at St Joseph's seminary Jeppu Mangalore preached on theme of the celebration.
Soon after the Holy Eucharist, adoration to the Blessed Sacrament was conducted. The Blessed Sacrament was taken in procession in a prayerful atmosphere. Devotees gathered in large numbers to pay due reverence to the Sacrament.
Rev. Fr Stany Pereira, parish priest thanked the parishioners and devotees for their wholehearted support throughout the celebration.
