July 25, 2020: The new assistant parish priest of Urwa Church Rev. Fr Rahul DSouza was warmly welcomed on Friday, 24th of July to Urwa Church by the Parish Clergy and Parishioners of Urwa. He was accompanied by Rev. Fr Melwin Noronha, parish priest of Pakshikere, Rev. Fr Clifford Pinto and Rev Fr Rupesh Tauro clergies from Bondel parish, parishioners from Pakshikere and family members.
Rev. Fr Jason Lobo conducted a prayer service and sought divine assistance to the new assistant parish priest to carry out his mission in this church fruitfully. Thereafter, a short ceremony was conducted. Rev. Fr Stany Pereira, Parish priest welcomed Fr Rahul DSouza to Urwa church and wished the new assistant priest every success in all the pastoral ministry.
Rev. Fr Rahul Dsouza in his response thanked everyone and assured that he would be at the service of parishioners during his tenure in this parish. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks rendered by our vice president Mr Lloyd Lobo. The programme was compeered by Mrs Lucy D’Souza.
