The Sacred Heart Ward members joined together to honour their Patron on 26.06.2022 with "Ward Day" celebration. The celebration began with Mass at 7.00am with the ward members taking part in leading the day's liturgy.
The second part of the celebration was the get-together of all the families of the ward at 6.30pm in the Basement hall.
Rev. Fr. Benjamin Pinto, the Parish Priest, graced the occasion along with Rev. Fr. Johnson Pereira, the Assistant Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Henry Sequeira, the socius at Urwa Church, Mr. Lloyd Lobo, the Vice President of Parish Pastoral Parishad, Mrs. Lucy DSouza, the Secretary of Parish Pastoral Parishad, Sr Superior of Ladyhill convent, Mrs Juliet DCunha, the parish SCC coordinator. The gurkars of other wards of the Parish, and the ward members were also present.
Mr. Gabriel Sartho, the Gurkar of the ward, extended a welcome to everyone gathered. Mrs. Vanitha Fernandes placed the report of activities of the ward. The achievers in different fields were honoured on this occasion. The programme included prayer song, dances, skits, songs and games. Games were conducted by Mrs. Wilma Gonsalves, Mrs. Princy Gonsalves and Mrs. Renita Lasrado.
Mrs. Vinola DSouza compered the programme. Vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs Irene Pinto. The ward day was concluded with every participant joyfully partaking in dinner together.
