Dec. 11, 2017: The Second Sunday of December is a memorable sunday in the lives of the parishioners of Urwa Church. It's a day of twin celebrations. Celebration of the Church Feast at one hand and the celebration of Pompei Shrine Feast on the other hand.
This year, parish feast was celebrated on December 10 with the feastal Eucharist at 7:15a.m. Rev. Fr Boniface Pinto, Professor at St Joseph's Seminary, Jeppu presided over the celebration while the parish clergy joined him in con-celebration. The Main Celebrant preached a fitting homily on the occassion of feast highlighting the life of Mother Mary.
After the Mass, parish clergy along with the vice president and secretary of PPC released the special edition of Vijayakarnataka on the occassion of Pompei Shrine Feast.
On the Occasion of the Feast of the Shrine, an Eucharistic Celebration for the sick and needy people was celebrated at 10:15a.m. Prior to the celebration, the Sacrament of Confession was administered. The Mass was celebrated by Rev Fr Richard Coelho, Director , Father Muller's. During the Mass, Priest prayed for the good health of all sick people. Towards the end of the Eucharistic Celebration, the Sacrament of the Anointing of Sick was administered to the sick people. Priests prayed for all by laying their hands on them.
