August 12, 2018: ICYM and YCS of Urwa parish jointly organized youth day for the youths of Urwa parish. A large number of youth enthusiastically participated in this program. The program began at 9.00am with registration followed by Holy Eucharist in the Church. After the Mass rest of the program was organized in the church hall. The chief guest and the speaker of the day was Mrs. Leena Lobo the executive engineer of MESCOM. In her talk she emphasized on value based life and responsibilities of youth in the society and in the family. Rev. Fr Stany Pereira presided over the program and appreciated the youth for gathering in a large number. Rev Fr Jason Lobo, Mr. Francis Saldanha, Mrs. Lucy D’Souza, Ms. Rochelle Misquith (ICYM president) and Mr. Elden Lobo (YCS president) were the dignitaries on the dais. The YCS members invoked God’s blessing on the program through prayer song, Ms. Rochelle welcomed the gathering, Mr. Gavin Lobo (ICYM vice president) verbalized the words of gratitude and Mr. Neil D’Souza prepared and organized the inauguration and Ms. Rozita and Lenisha emcees of the stage program. Later under the leadership of Mr. Neil, cultural program and various games were conducted. Because of the hard effort of YCS and ICYM members, the youth day became successful.
