June 09, 2019: The inauguration of Catechetical year 2019-20 was held at Urwa parish on 9th June during 9.30am children’s Mass.
Rev Fr Stany Pereira Parish Priest celebrated the Holy Eucharist and Fr Jason Lobo concelebrated the Mass. After the entrance hymn the catechetical year inaugurated by lighting the lamps by the parish priest, which was brought in procession by the children and teachers. Along with the children, vice president Mr Francis Saldanha, secretory, Mrs Lucy Dsouza and parents of a student brought the plants. After the inauguration the Mass was continued. After the prayers of faithful, the catechism teachers took oath. There after parish priest gave them the class files,, as the symbol of responsibilities. The whole liturgy was conducted the teachers. After the Mass, the sweets was distributed to all.
