On Easter day all the faithful had gathered to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Easter Vigil liturgy started at 7:00 p.m. The parish priest blessed the Fire and prepared the Easter candle 2016. After that the Altar Boys joined the priests for procession to the Altar singing the Easter joy. Holding the lighted candles in their hands, people joyfully raised their hearts and minds to the Lord as the Pascal hymn was sung proclaiming the importance of the Easter vigil and the Pascal candle. The holy mass continued thereafter with the proclamation of the word of God with several readings from the Old Testament leading to narration of the resurrection of our lord. The baptismal vows were renewed and the holy water was sprinkled on the congregation.

Fr Stany Pereira presided over the Eucharist, and preached the homily. Fr Amith Rodrigues and Fr Valerian Rodrigues were the concelebrants. After the mass people wished each other “A Happy Easter”.
