Sep. 09, 2018: Monthi Festh popularly known as family feast was celebrated with joy and happiness on Sep 8 at Urwa Church. The celebration began with the procession from the house of Mr. Augustine D’Souza, wherein Mother Mary was honoured publicly. On reaching the Church, children offered flowers to Infant Mary.
Rev Fr Dionysius Vaz SJ, the rector of St Aloysius college celebrated the festal mass along with Stany Pereira, parish priest and asst parish priests. The new corn was blessed by Fr Dionysius Vaz SJ and distribute it to all the ward leaders and representatives. Sugar canes were distributed to all the gathered. Parishioners participated in large numbers in the liturgical celebration.
