June 10, 2016 : Rev Fr Nelson Dheeraj Pais was welcomed as new assistant parish priest of Urwa today. Prior to this appointment, he was the assistant parish priest of Mother of God Church Mogarnad for the year 2015-16. Rev Fr Stany Pereira, parish priest welcomed Fr Nelson Pais along with other guest priests, religious and laity.

Fr Amith Rodrigues led the prayer service. It was followed by a short welcome program. Parish priest extended a cordial welcome to the new assistant parish priest.

Mr Hilary D’Souza, vice president of parish pastoral council introduced the parish to the new assistant and all guests. 

Fr Nelson in his reply to the welcome extended his whole hearted service to the church community and thanked all who supported him during his tenure at Mogarnad.

Rev Fr Mark Castelino, Parish Priest of Mogarnad, Rev Fr Deepak D’Sa, assistant  Parish Priest of  Mogarnad, Rev Fr Mathias Pereira,  guest priests, religious sisters, the  Urwa Parish Council members, the Superior and sisters of The Annunciation Convent, Lady hill, and the Urwa parishioners were present. The guests were offered refreshment at the basement hall at the end.
