Feb 26, 2017: The Annual Catechism Day of our parish was held with much fervour and enthusiasm. It was the day to thank the Lord for the gift of Faith. It was also the day marked to felicitate the parish children who have been successful in learning the truths of our faith.
The celebration began at 3:30 p.m. with the Eucharistic Celebration celebrated by Parish Priest while the asst parish priest concelebrated. Children took active part in the liturgy. The children’s melodious choir added more beauty to the celebration.
After the Mass, refreshments were served to all. The cultural programme began at 5:15 with Jennica Fernandes and Ceyona Fernandes being the master of Ceremonies. The cultural performance included the exhibition of talents from the students of Standard First to Standard Tenth. The various value based cultural items enhanced the beauty of the day’s celebration. Wilston Lobo and Jenifer Baptist shared their experience while Rosy D’Souza, Coordinator of Sunday Catechism presented the annual report.
Rev Fr Stany Pereira in his presidential remark thanked the teachers for their yeomen service in disseminating the knowledge of Catholic Faith to the children and also congratulated the students for deepening their knowledge in spiritual matters.
