The diaconate ordination of Br Shaun Rodrigues took place on May 13, 2017 in St Peter’s Basilica, Vatican City. His Eminence Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelizationof Peoples ordained him along with other 17 brothers of different parts of the world. After the Eucharistic celebration a felicitation programme was held at the Urban University. The presence of MrStany Rodrigues and Mrs Margaret Rodrigues ( parents of Shaun Rodrigues), siblings and family members had really enhanced the joy of the celebration. The Mangalore diocesan priests living in Rome and Br Ivan Martis, of Udupi diocese were instrumental in successfully organizing the diaconate of Br Shaun Rodrigues.
